Kannada Sahitya Parishattu was established in 1915 by the Maharaja of Mysore, Rajarishi Shri Krishnaraja Wodeyar and nurtured and built by Sir M. Visweswaraya and Sir Mirza Ismail with a mission of nurturing the Kannada language, literature, culture and people.
